The image is of the coffeetable from one end, clearly showing the sensual curves of the French Provincial legs, so suggestive that modest Victorian ladies put skirts on the tables lest someone inadvertently be aroused by the indelicate sight of a limb. But unlike traditional French Provincial, which used a lion's claw and ball foot, the “feet” on this table are bronze babydoll hands, clutching a bronze ball. As babies often will, one hand has dropped its ball, which lies forgotten on the floor beneath the... arm?
