The image depicts one view of a room-sized installation. Before us is a huge piece of plate glass piercing the floor and surrounded by detrius and rubble, granite rocks and building block, twisted pieces of metal and crushed chainlink fencing, all within a room completely enrobed in gray concrete. We've entered through a concrete-plastered door, behind us now, with “Humanity Remains” neatly lettered, as if by a professional sign painter, on the glass pane which afforded a preview of the room. The glass is angled and covered in semi-reflective film, skewing our image as we circle but also darkly altering our view of the floor, greyed by a concrete wash.
