A variety of psychological landscapes comprised of hardware. When purchased, the sculpture included hooks, clamps, springs, a small antique stool oozing with primal fur, and a fantastic vase full of half-dead roses! When exhibited, a huge vise was central symbol in the landscape of psychologically potent objects. This particular setting, in 1977, was almost completely covered, or enclosed, by an enormous burned-out barrel.
